Over the Road:
Common carrier systems provide service to the Southeast U.S. via Interstates 75, 24, 59 and 65.

By Rail:
Chattanooga is a major hub for Norfolk Southern, with rail service to and from all points of the compass.

By Barge:
Eleven common carriers operate on the Tennessee River. Shipments originating in the northern U.S. may be routed to Chattanooga via the Illinois, Mississippi and Tennessee Rivers. The 253 mile, ice-free Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway has created a shorter, more direct route between inland ports and the Gulf of Mexico at Mobile, Alabama.
